Thank you for this. I've been struggling with the no one is to blame/everyone is to blame paradigm for a while. Not because I'm not on board with it. I am. But because I find so few people I can talk to about it. I am finding that when I criticize my own side of the political fence, or suggest that someone on the "other side" might have a point about something, the pearl-clutching begins. I just don't get many takers for those conversations. And the younger my friends are, the less likely they're interested in that conversation. I get that. When I was 25 or 30 I would have scorned a phrase like Both/And as wishy-washy hippie BS. And now I'm finding it's where I'm at.
